On the morning of Friday, March 10, San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor, District 1 City Councilman Roberto C. Trevino, District 10 City Councilman Mike Gallagher, joined Parks and Recreation Department Director Xavier D. Urrutia at the Shearhills Ridgview Walking Trail to announce a tree recovery initiative for residents affectd by the storms of February 19 and 20. Led by the Parks and Recreation Department, this effort will include tree giveaways for nighborhoods and planting of large trees by the City at eligible homes. After the announcment Councilman Trevinio took part in the first tree planting of the program at a home on Linda Dr.
